
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There have been 81 killings in St. Louis this year, the most recent, came Sunday as a teenager and a 22-year-old were gunned down in separate incidents. Since Saturday, eight teenagers were shot and injured, including four in one incident outside the hooters in downtown St. Louis
Police are investigating after they say three suspects armed with assault rifles fired upon a group of teenagers at the restaurant early Sunday morning. Four teens ended up in the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The incident was one of multiple shootings in the city on Sunday. At least three people — including a teen — were fatally shot in and around St. Louis
Officers responded to a local hospital for a "shooting - prior" call after four victims were dropped off there with gunshot wounds. The victims, a 17-year-old Black female and three Black males between the ages of 18- and 19-years-old were in stable condition, police say.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. outside the Hooters on North 7th Street. Police say the investigation has revealed that three Black men with assault rifles fired upon the victims.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Another shooting left a man dead in an unincorporated area of north St. Louis County Sunday morning. He was found with a fatal gunshot wound.
A teenager was fatally shot just north of downtown, near the riverfront, around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. He died on the scene after being shot in the chest.
The fourth shooting that day came around 7 p.m. in the south city neighborhood of Mt. Pleasant when a man was found with several gunshot wounds. He died at the scene and a suspect was arrested, police say.
Investigations are ongoing as police have not released the names of those killed or the person arrested.
