ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - County Executive Dr. Sam Page's spokesman Doug Moore tells KMOX News, exactly what the restrictions will be are still being talked about, but new rules and regulations are coming soon.

Earlier on Wednesday, Mayor Lyda Krewson talked about a "safer at home" movement that's growing.

"We're really trying to work together, St. Louis City, St. Louis County, surrounding counties, health care systems, to put some measures in place," Krewson says.

The announcement could come Thursday afternoon, but definitely by Friday.

With the rising number of hospitalizations and COVID-19 cases, Page does not want to wait on imposing the restrictions.

Leaders have been signaling more restrictions were coming for several days as the number of hospitalizations and COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

Both Krewson and Page have recommended staying at home, limiting contact to immediate family and interacting with a small group of no more than ten people who you are around regularly. They say that way if someone contracts the virus contact tracing will be easier and you can self quarantine.
