ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed after trying to rob another person in downtown St. Louis late Sunday night.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says officers responded to 14th St. and St. Charles Streets at 11:43 p.m. where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. After further investigation, it was determined by police that he was the suspect.
Police say the suspect was shot while attempting to rob the victim. The victim fled the scene before police arrive and has not been located as of Monday morning.
Police say two guns were found at the scene.
