ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Police say a woman found shot to death inside a vehicle in north St. Louis Monday night was a witness to another shooting that took place just minutes prior in the area.
Her body was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 3000 block of Marcus Avenue around 11:36 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
Police were already in the area where the women's body was found because they responded to shooting nearby at 11:30 p.m. They believe a man was shot in the torso while getting out of his car in the area. Police say he showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound. He was listed in stable condition.
No identities have been released, and there are no suspects named. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
