ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Police Chief described the scene as "gruesome" Thursday morning after a mother and her two young daughters, including a 1-year-old, were shot to death.
The shooting happened inside a home near South Grand Boulevard and Klocke Street in south St. Louis. Police say an approximately 30-year-old woman, a 7-year-old and a 1-year-old are dead.
"There's a lot of disturbing evidence inside," Hayden says. "It was very disturbing. I'm sure it was traumatic for the officers who went in."
Police were called to the scene for a report of shots fired around 7 a.m. and found the three victims inside the home.
Police say they are not investigating this as a suicide and have not named any suspects or any persons of interest.
A neighbor says she spoke with the approximately 30-year-old victim and says her boyfriend and her had a fight on Wednesday.
Police didn’t say whether or not there was forced entry or signs of a struggle.
