WASHINGTON, D.C. (KMOX) - St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones will be at the White House all week and was invited to join President Joe Biden for the signing of his $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill on Monday.

The bill, which was passed by a vote of 228-206 last week, will send $9 billion to Missouri to rebuild roads, bridges and rails, expand access to clean drinking water and ensure everyone has access to high-speed internet, according to Jones' office.
U.S. Rep. Cori Bush of St. Louis was among the six Democrats that voted against the bill, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. She says she told the President and Vice President directly that she wouldn't vote for it approval because "St. Louis has to come first for me."
After Monday's bill signing, Jones will stay in Washington for the rest of the week to meet with Bush, the Federal Transit Authority and the White House's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
