Teen killed while riding bike on St. Louis highway; Driver flees scene

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis teenager was killed in a hit-and-run crash while she was riding her bike on Interstate 170 early Monday morning.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Sha'leah A. Hamblin of St. Louis was riding her bike in a northbound lane of the highway, just north of Forest Park Parkway, when she was struck from behind. Authorities say they responded at 12:19 a.m. and she was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say she was not wearing a helmet.

Authorities say the vehicle involved was a Chevy Camaro with front-end damage and they're asking for help to locate it. The color of the car is unknown.
