
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI (KMOX) - Six people are believed to have died in Christmas Eve gun violence around the St. Louis area.
Two men were found dead in the afternoon in the Greater Ville neighborhood of St. Louis. Metropolitan Police Sgt. Keith Barrett says they appeared to have multiple puncture wounds, police later saying they were shot. This was in the 4500 block of Aldine Avenue. Homicide investigators were called to the scene after the bodies were found in a car at 2:38 PM.
About an hour later, two men were shot to death by a home on Crest Avenue in University City. Police have issued few details, but it's believed a suspect was holed up in a home for a while.
That situation ended, but police give no details.
The deadly Christmas Eve began with a man found shot dead under the Musial/Veteran's Memorial Bridge. Another man was found shot dead inside a truck at South Broadway and Pepping around 5:30 AM.
One man who was shot in the leg at a Metro Bus stop at Kingshighway and Bircher in north St. Louis is recovering.
Around 8:15 PM, two men were seriously injured when shot at the Southwest Crossing Apartments on Rio Tinto Place in the Carondelet neighborhood. One man was shot in the chest, the other in the head.
Police say the men were found in different units, and it's unclear how the shootings may or may not be related.
