ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An Uber driver in St. Louis says she's lucky to be alive after narrowly avoiding being hit head-on by a driver going the wrong direction on a highway.

Medeya Espina shared dashcam video of the car coming right at her when she was driving on I-64 near Big Bend in St. Louis County around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. You can also see the reaction of her and the passenger in her back seat as she swerves out of the way.

"Please don’t drink and drive, wear your seatbelt, put that phone down and be alert. I thought I was a goner yesterday, if it wasn’t for my quick reaction I would have been dead," Espina stated in her post.

Police confirmed that early Sunday morning in that area a vehicle was involved in an accident after driving in the wrong direction on I-64, reports Fox 2. The car hit another vehicle that was trying to enter the highway on Vandeventer Avenue in St. Louis.

The report says both drivers refused medical attention and no one was seriously injured. A passenger in one vehicle was taken to the hospital with some arm pain.
