With everything going on in the world, the Bidens still found time for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner yesterday.
The White House placed an order for takeout Tuesday from Washington, D.C., restaurant Le Diplomate, according to the Washingtonian.
The order reportedly included a cheeseburger for the president, said to be his go-to order, and lobster risotto, which was a special for the evening.
Le Diplomate is a favorite of the Bidens. The couple dined at the French brasserie for their first sit-down dinner outing as president and first lady in 2021.
The president has also been seen at the hot spot with Vice President Kamala Harris and First Gentleman Doug Emhoff, while Dr. Biden has dined with guests there multiple times, the Washingtonian reported.
While the restaurant has a policy against talking about its diners, a source confirmed to The Hill that a takeout order was placed by the White House.
Dr. Biden shared a photo on Twitter of a romantic candlelit table for two at the White House, with settings placed side-by-side instead of across the table from each other and a bouquet of pink flowers.
"A Valentine's Day tradition continues," she wrote. "Thank you for the surprise, Joe!"
