ST. LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Democrat Michael Burton and Republican Bill Heisse Took a selfie in front a St. Louis County polling station Tuesday, celebrating their commitment to run respectful campaigns and promising to work on each other's priorities in the future.

"Right before I took that picture, we talked about that," explains Burton.

If Heisse would win, he agreed to work with Burton on cutting property taxes for seniors.

If Burton won, he agreed to work on one of Heisse's top issues -- education.

By the end of election night, Burton was declared the next Representative in Missouri's 92nd District.

"I think it's important that people can have different views about things, different ideas, different beliefs but also still get along," says Burton.
