A trip to Six Flags usually ends up costing quite a bit of money. Between parking, food, rides and games there is plenty ways for a guest to be charged. That’s why for years, Six Flags has ran a number of different discount programs to keep admission into the amusement park cheap. However, that is about to change as Six Flags recently announced an increase to their entry fees.

Last week, Six Flags Entertainment Corp revealed plans to raise the price of its entry fees and shift away from heavy discounts on admission to its parks in the coming weeks. The changes are expected to affect the price of single-day tickets, group tickets and season passes. According to Dallas Morning News, these changes comes as Six Flags shifts to a new revenue model based on lower attendance and higher prices.

There has been no announcement made on which, if any, discount programs will remain. While many were disappointed by the news, the changes could mean less crowds and a better guest experience. Hopefully the price increases don’t move throughout the park.
