Rangers outfielder Josh Smith is being tested and treated after taking a pitch to the face at Globe Life Field Monday night.
It was a shocking moment -- Smith could not get out of the way of an 89-mile-an-hour pitch from Baltimore's Danny Coulombe.
Smith went down and stayed down, clutching his bleeding face.
Trainers and manager Bruce Bochy were immediately at the plate tending to Smith who was led off and rushed to the hospital.
Bochy says Smith's CT scans "came back clean," meaning no brain damage.
Smith will be re-evaluated on Tuesday to determine the way forward.
Smith is in his second season with the Rangers, coming from the Yankees in the Joey Gallo trade
