After months of anticipation, H-E-B is finally in DFW with stores now open in Frisco and Plano. While many throughout the metroplex have been flocking to these locations since they opened, stores in other cities are expected to open in the coming months.
Now, it has been reported that H-E-B may soon be coming to another North Texas city, as the grocery store chain recently purchased land in southern Dallas.
Ever since announcing their DFW expansion, H-E-B has purchased land all over the metroplex. While not all properties are expected to become H-E-B locations, so far the Texas-based grocery store chain has announced stores in Frisco, Plano, Allen, McKinney, Mansfield and Fort Worth. Thus far, they have avoided the city of Dallas, however it was recently announced that H-E-B purchased land near Highway 67 and just south of Interstate 20.
According to Dallas Observer, H-E-B is yet to confirm if this will be their first Dallas location. The property is located at 4101 W. Wheatland Road. Hopefully, it is announced as the next DFW H-E-B location soon, so Dallas can get in on the fun.
