With Opening Day for both the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros coming up tomorrow, you may be thinking of taking your family to a ball game this season. If so your need to plan to dig deep into your wallet.

Traditionally baseball has been seen as the game where you get the most for your money, but that may be changing. We don't have the numbers for the upcoming season yet but based on the 2022 season, Houston's Minute Maid Park and the Rangers' Globe Life Field are among the Top Ten most expensive ballparks in MLB.

Last year, ranking fourth was Minute Maid Park where a family of four laid out an average of nearly $294 for a single game. That includes the four regular seat tickets, four hot dogs, two soft drinks, two beers and parking.

Only the Red Sox, Cubs and Yankees were more expensive.

Globe Life Field was eighth with an average of $228 per game.

Of course, Astros fans got their money's worth. Houston is after all, the defending World Series champions.

But this is a new year and the campaign opens Thursday. The Astros open at home, entertaining the White Sox. The Rangers are home tomorrow hosting the National League Champion Phillies.
