Six Flags over Texas has been a go-to source of fun and excitement in the metroplex for years. However, for those that were tired of the same old rides and attractions, they’ll be happy to know the amusement park is currently in the process of a multi-year transformation. The changes to the park will bring enhancements and new rides for DFW to enjoy for years to come.
With summer right around the corner, Six Flags over Texas is getting ready for their busy months, as they transition from being open on weekends to daily hours starting May 30.
However, when guests return they may not see an amusement park they recognize. As part of the multi-year transformation currently under way, visitors will see freshly painted buildings, new landscaping, updated entry gates, and an open midway around the historic Star Mall, according to NBC DFW.
The park will also be adding new menu items, courtesy of new food and beverage director Patrick Desmond, and a number of new rides. Two of those rides, Pirates of Speelunker Cave and AQUAMAN: Power Wave, are expected to open this summer. With these changes, Six Flags should soon be more fun than ever before.
