
Inflation and supply chain issues are expected to continue into 2022. Unfortunately, this means both shoppers and businesses will witness higher prices over a longer period.
Interestingly, according to the latest data from FMI’s U.S. Grocery Shopper Trends, average household spending has held steady at about $144 per week, which is down from the $161 per week witnessed at the height of the pandemic last year.
