Texans know a thing or two about southern hospitality, which is why so many are shocked when they leave the state and don’t experience the same friendliness they are used to at home.

While many claim to be polite to their neighbors, Texas takes it to a new level and that was proven recently by a new study. The study found the most polite cities in America, and Texas had multiple spots on the list, including Fort Worth at number three.

E-learning platform Preply recently unveiled the results of their survey to find the rudest and most polite cities in America. The survey asked more than 1,500 residents of the 30 largest metropolitan areas to rate the rudeness of the average resident in their city on a scale of 1 to 10, according to CW33. Based on the results, the study named Fort Worth as the third most polite city in the country, with Dallas also making the list at number 15.

Taking the number one spot on the most polite cities list was Austin. On the other side, Houston was ranked one of the rudest cities in the country, coming in at number 10. With this study, there is yet another reason for people to want to live in DFW.
