A driver is in a Dallas hospital after his car vaulted off a freeway ramp just before 4 a.m. and landed upside down on Central Expressway near Hall Street.
Police say the driver was trapped in the mangled wreckage and Dallas firefighters needed heavy equipment to free the victim who was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
The north-bound lanes of Hwy 75 - Central Expressway were closed for the rescue and cleanup.
