Following a hit-and-run that claimed the life of an 82-year-old woman last month, Dallas police say they've arrested a 12-year-old boy and charged him with murder.

On Nov. 7, Kristine Kelly was driving to get groceries for her and her husband when she was struck by a speeding vehicle at the intersection of Royal Lane and Rosser Road in Dallas.

The 82-year-old was killed and doorbell cameras caught up to four people inside the suspect vehicle taking off. They left behind a 13-year-old girl, who couldn't escape the crash.

Police said no one from the group called 911.

Police on Wednesday arrested a 12-year-old they say was driving the vehicle at the time of the wreck. They have charged him with murder.

Kelly was the sole caretaker for her husband, who recently suffered a stroke that left him immobile.
