Dallas Police have arrested a 15-year-old, suspected of murdering his mother on Friday.
It all began when police received a call about an abandoned two-year-old at around 4:34 p.m. Once on location at 1202 Mclean Avenue, which turned out to be the child's great grandparents' address, they requested police undertake a welfare check on the child's grandmother as she was supposed to have the child with her.

Police then found that the grandmother, 47-year-old Aime Salinas-Alvarado, had been fatally shot in the head at her home at 4743 Lynnacre Drive.
It was subsequently determined that the Salinas-Alvarado's son, a 15-year-old, had murdered her before taking the child to the great grandparents' house, before heading to a friend's house in the victim's vehicle.
According to police, the son was subsequently taken into custody where he provided a full confession. He is currently being held at the Henry Wade Juvenile Detention Facility and will eventually be charged with Capital Murder.
