The annual Denton Black Film Festival is back, aiming to highlight underrepresented talent in the local area.

The festival, which will run virtually from Thursday, January 27th until February 6th, "features Black cinema, music, art, spoken word, comedy, food and fashion."
According to the DBFF, they exist "to address under-representation in film and media by giving Black stories an audience and Black creatives a platform." Proceeds from the festival will go towards scholarships for African-American students in the community.
This year's schedule includes - amongst other events - screenings of documentaries and narrative features, Q&As with filmmakers, panel discussions, and will end with a virtual awards ceremony on Sunday, February 6th.
