An innocent man is dead after police say a 14-year-old sped through a red light in a stolen car early this morning.

It happened around 1 a.m. when Dallas police say they noticed the stolen vehicle being driven on S. Buckner Boulevard.

"The officers the attempted to conduct a traffic stop," says Officer Michael Dennis, with Dallas police. "At which time the stolen vehicle fled from police and a chase ensued."

Dennis says the chase ended at the intersection of Great Trinity Forest Way and Wadsworth Drive, when the stolen car’s driver ran a red light and slammed into another car-- killing a man inside.

The 14-year-old was taken into police custody alongside two other juveniles and one adult. After the crash, they were all taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say the 14-year-old has been arrested. No word on what he's being charged with at this time.
