67-year-old man arrested after Arlington road rage incident

A 67-year-old Arlington man has been arrested and charged in a road rage incident.

Police were called to a minor accident at 12 a.m. on Thursday in the 2500 block of Interstate 20, per NBCDFW. On location, officers discovered that one of the drivers involved in the accident, Steven Pearson, had gotten into a physical altercation with the other, following which passersby pulled over to try and diffuse the situation.

Pearson then went on to try to get into the car of one of the passersby and drive off. He ultimately failed and then got back into his own vehicle, ramming the other driver's vehicle in an attempt to flee the scene.

Later, Pearson was arrested and has been charged with assault causing bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful use of a vehicle, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
