An accused killer is behind bars at the Dallas County jail following the shooting death of a woman last week.

Reports say it started Friday afternoon when a badly wounded woman was dropped off at a Dallas hospital. A man later identified as Alexander Escobar quickly left the hospital but he was returned two hours later by paramedics who picked Escobar up after he crashed his car.
Detectives say he crashed while trying to overdose on meth. They also say he shot the victim twice at a motel but they're not saying why.
