In partnership with the SPCA of Texas, NewsRadio 1080 KRLD brings you 'Adoptable Pet Pals,' a weekly feature to introduce you to animals that are ready for adoption.

KRLD's Kristin Diaz along with Maura Davies from the SPCA highlights the critical need for adopting families at local animal shelters by showcasing an "Adoptable Pet Pal" that has stayed at the shelter too long.

Say hello to Lil Mama, the sweetest dog around! This 4-year-old mixed breed is looking for a home of her own with a family who will love her forever. With her puppies all adopted, she's ready for some cuddles and love from a loving family of her own. Lil Mama enjoys short walks and spending quality time with people. While she's up for playtime now and then, she's happiest when getting pets or treats. She's not picky about her dream home, as long as there's plenty of affection to go around. While she's made a few doggie friends, she can be selective, so a meet-and-greet with your pup is preferred. Give Lil Mama the love she deserves by welcoming her into your heart and home! She is housed at the SPCA of Texas’ Dallas Animal Care Center, so come on down seven days a week from noon to 6 p.m. to meet her. https://spca.org/adoptable/lil-mama/

Introducing Krusty, a charming 3-year-old mixed breed dog who is patiently waiting to meet his new forever family at the Russell E. Dealey Animal Rescue Center. Don't be fooled by his initial shyness – his tail wags with boundless affection. And that shyness? Well, it disappears quicker than a pup chasing a tennis ball. With a kind human or canine companion by his side, he confidently embraces new places, conquering those first-time jitters.

Do you already have a dog at home? Perfect! Krusty's playful camaraderie with a confident dog is a beautiful thing to see. He is still learning leash manners, but he's eager to strut his stuff on sidewalks and explore alongside you.

Your home could very well be Krusty's ideal home! He’s dreaming of a yard for zoomies and for learning leash etiquette and people to cuddle with. He's also open to meeting human kiddos, too. Thanks to his experience with fellow canines, he's all about forging new, furry friendships.

Ready to make Krusty a part of your life? He’s housed at the Russell E. Dealey Animal Rescue Center, so you’ll need an appointment to meet him.
