The alma mater of Dallas police officer Jacob Arellano is paying tribute to the man who so recently played college football at New Mexico State.
The New Mexico State University football program has put out a statement saying "we are deeply saddened by the loss of former Aggie football player Jacob Arellano. Jacob was an outstanding young man, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."
Arellano grew up in El Paso where he graduated from Socorro High School.
After graduating from New Mexico State, he became a police officer with Dallas Police Department in 2019.
