After feeling cooped up in their house because of the pandemic, Ashley Hardyway, her husband and their four children, found a way to get up and out of their house, and spread some good in their community.

The Arlington family started putting together care packages, consisting of fun items like flowers and notes of encouragement, to hand out in their home city of Arlington.

Hardyway told NBC DFW, “We are who we are because someone once loved us.”

The bags started out as a simple family project, but has blossomed into more than 3,000 bags of encouragement being delivered!

Hardyway says, “You gotta remember that it starts at home.  What can we do to raise change engines that will love and give and spread those things for generations to come.”

The Hardyways started the project in 2022, and have since dropped off bags to homes, police stations, grocery stores!
