Arlington Police release surveillance video in murder case

The Arlington Police Department has released video they believe shows two men suspected in the murder of 36-year-old Ali Ismail. He was shot and killed outside his home on Prentice Street early Tuesday morning.

A surveillance camera at a nearby home captured video of two men walking through the neighborhood around the time of the shooting.

Police say the two men had been attempting to break into vehicles at about the time that Ismail was killed.

Investigators have also obtained surveillance camera video of a man trying to break into a vehicle in a nearby neighborhood at about 2:30am. They have not conclusively linked that incident to Ismail's murder, but they would like to speak with that subject.

Arlington Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects to contact Det. Hall at 817-459-5325 or Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at 817-469-8477.

They're also asking people who live between Collins Street, New York Avenue, East Bardin Road and Green Oaks Boulevard to check their home security cameras for anything unusual between 2:00am and 6:00am on February 14th.
