A Euless man is locked up and charged in a Grapevine road rage shooting that put a woman in the hospital Friday.

The victim was shot in the neck while driving on Highway 121 near Bass Pro Drive.

Police say she and a man named Brandon Rutt were in a freeway confrontation and Rutt is accused of pulling out a pistol and firing it at the woman.

Although struck in the neck, her wound was considered to be non-life-threatening.

Police had information from the victim and from witnesses. Using that, they found surveillance video of the vehicle from which the shots were fired.

That led them to Rutt's home where investigators say they found additional evidence.

Rutt is charged with aggravated assault.
