ARLINGTON, TX (1080 KRLD) - Arlington Police arrest two teens who they say killed a man while on a test drive last month.

"Through cell phone records, they were able to trace that back to two individuals who they were able to identify as 18-year-old Luis Gutierrez and 19-year-old Cristian Saucedo," says Tim Ciesco, Arlington Police spokesman.

Investigators say Saucedo and Gutierrez posed as potential buyers of a Dodge Charger Khudhair Hamdan, 55, was helping a family member sell when they shot him to death on March 21st.

The car was later found abandoned in the parking lot at a shopping center at Matlock and Sublett roads.

"Mr. Saucedo was taken into custody on Friday by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force," says Ciesco. "We found him at a home in Dallas.

"Mr. Gutierrez was already in custody for an unrelated incident that happened in Dallas," Ciesco continued. "And so our warrant was added to his list of charges for that unrelated case."

Saucedo and Gutierrez are both charged with capital murder.

"This is a very senseless incident that's shaken this family and shaken our community," says Ciesco, "and so we're certainly glad to get to this point where we're able to make arrests in this case and then hopefully bring some sense of relief to both the victim's family and to our community."
