According to data published in 2020 by the Association of American Medical Colleges, it estimates that the U.S. could see a shortage of 54,000 to nearly 140,000 physicians by 2033.
On Ask the Expert, Dr. Stephen Scott joined the KRLD Afternoon News. He is the Senior Advisor to the Dean for Accreditation and Clinical Affiliations as well as a Professor at Burnett School of Medicine at TCU. He shared his perspective on the issue.
