It could be the surest sign of a normal pre-pandemic summer time. This summer could see more people traveling than at any time since before the
pandemic.
That means we will have to be extra patient and leave a lot of extra time for getting through security, dealing with rental car counters, and new travelers.
The Economist Intelligence is predicting that global tourism will rise by 30% this year. Expedia said it has seen a 25% increase in travel searches for the months between June and August. That predicted surge could lead to even more expensive flights during the summer. Air fares are already 17% higher than this time last year.
