Police in Everman, Texas, issued an Endengered Missing Alert after they were notified by Child Protective Services of a missing 6-year-old child named Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez.
Everman police will be holding a press conference at 3:30 p.m. Monday to update the public on the search efforts for that six-year-old. They say the search continues for the boy and they wanted to dispel any rumors circulating social media, including one that the boy was "sold off."
The vehicle belonging to the mother of the missing Everman boy has been found at DFW Airport where police believe she caught a flight to flee the country last week.
The disabled boy has apparently been missing since November. On Sunday, Everman police chief Craig Spencer met with reporters to say Noel Rodriguez Alvarez cannot be found.
Police confirm his mother, step-father and six siblings boarded a DFW Airport flight for Istanbul, Turkey last week but Noel's name was not on the passenger manifest.
Spencer also says the boy's mother is not at all cooperating with them. He confirmed that she had initially claimed Noel was living with his biological father in Mexico. But when the man was contacted he had never even met his son because he was deported before Noel was born.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for the boy's mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh. The Amber Alert initially issued on behalf of Noel has been canceled and he is now considered an "Endangered Missing Person."
