A center for victims of domestic violence is short thousands of dollars worth of supplies after a man entered the facility and stole everything he could carry.
"This has been a whirlwind of a nightmare," said Angie Wehrer, Executive Director of the Battered Women’s Foundation in North Richland Hills.
It's a nightmare that began early yesterday morning, around 4 a.m., when Wehrer says the unknown man entered the building. Construction crews had accidentally left a door unlocked, and it's believed the wind blew it open sometime in the night.
The man was then caught on camera taking clothing, tools, food - everything the shelter uses to support people in need.

"I think what bothers me most about it is, you come in here, you take our stuff that's needed for other people," Wehrer said. "If you're truly in need of this stuff, then you know just how important it is to have those resources available. All he had to do was call."
Wehrer says the foundation is now in desperate need of donations. They're short on both supplies and money. More information about The Battered Women's Foundation and how to donate can be found here.
Anyone with information about who the burglar could be is asked to contact the police.
