A body discovered in Grand Prairie has been confirmed to be a missing Collin County woman.
Police were seen Wednesday evening around the intersection of Kingswood Boulevard and Prairie Oak Boulevard, in a residential area of Grand Prairie about one mile from the home of Ocastor Ferguson, the man accused of kidnapping 33-year-old Kayla Kelley.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has confirmed the body found in Grand Prairie is indeed that of missing Collin County woman Kayla Kelley.
Family and coworkers reported Kelley missing on Jan. 11 after no one had heard from her for several days.
According to an arrest affidavit, Sheriffs learned that Kelley had a boyfriend who she recently found out was married. His name was Ocastor Ferguson. Police arrested him on kidnapping charges on Sunday. But investigators have not said if that charge is connected to Kelly's disappearance.
Ferguson later admitted to authorities that he had been using the name Kevin Brown.
A day later, Frisco police found Kelley's car burned on a deserted country road. Ferguson told police he did not know Kelley's current location or condition.
Friends say that Kelley was angry after learning Ferguson was married and threatened to tell his wife about their affair, or possibly even blackmail him.
