What started out looking like an accidental crash into a Garland apartment building now looks like a murder case.

Garland police say it began Sunday morning when a car smashed into a building at an apartment complex near Saturn and Northwest Highway. The car burst into flames and the fire began to spread.

While firefighters were dousing the flames, police found two men inside the car. Both men had been shot.

Police say one of the victims, a Dallas man named Quincy Lee Branch, died at the hospital. The other victim, an unidentified Fort Worth man had a non-life threatening wound. Investigators don't know who shot the men or why.
