During the pandemic, kids and teens dealt with a lot of changes in their daily routines. Sadly, not all were able to cope and adjust. Health experts say adolescent suicides increased during the pandemic.

Here in North Texas, Children's Hospital is working with patients to prevent those numbers from increasing here.

SPARC is an innovative, nationally-renowned teen suicide prevention program that aims to help teens manage intense emotions and reduce the risk for self-harm and suicidal behaviors.

The suicide attempt rate after completing the SPARC program in the six-month window is less than 12%.
