Construction barrels will soon be rolling out again in Tarrant County.
With funding secured, North Tarrant Express Mobility Partners will soon begin work to widen Northeast Loop 820 and State Highway 183.
The corridor is ranked high by Texas A&M on its list of the most congested roadways in the state.
The work entails adding one mainlane in each direction along 820 between I-35W and the 121/183 interchange and one managed toll lane in each direction along 183 between I-820 and Industrial Boulevard in Euless.
Barriers will go up late this year with construction beginning in the middle of next year.
Most of the work will be done during overnight hours.
Completion is expected by early 2027.
