Corsicana Police were called to a home on W. 2nd Avenue after midnight Saturday morning. They found two people, Connie and William Mimms, dead. Two other people were shot and were taken by helicopter to hospitals in Dallas.

Navarro County deputies were later called to a location in Frost, about 20 miles west of Corsicana. Deputies found two additional victims and one person who had been injured who was also taken to a hospital in Dallas.

Investigators say Kevin Milazzo, 41, killed all four. Connie Mimms was his mother; William Mimms was his step father.

"She cooks cookies and stuff on holidays, and she sends them over," says Kim Felix, who says she had lived in the same neighborhood as the Mimms the past 15 years. "Her husband and my husband, he would drive his little lawn mower over here and talk to my husband."

Investigators believe Milazzo then drove to Frost and killed his son, Joshua Milazzo, 21, and the son of his ex-girlfriend, Hunter Freeman, 4.

Detectives used the GPS unit from Milazzo's car to track him. Corsicana Police, the department's SWAT and Navarro County deputies found his car about six miles east of Corsicana, near FM 1129 and Roane Rd.

Investigators say Milazzo had shot himself in the head. SWAT treated Milazzo until an ambulance arrived. Milazzo was pronounced dead at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.

Investigators have not said what may have led to the murder-suicide, but they say Milazzo had a criminal history that included arrests for aggravated assault, burglary, evading arrest, family violence and making a terroristic threat.
