Moon says soccer can yield sports tourism in the same way that Dickies Arena now does.
"Fort Worth has some great opportunities in soccer, and sports tourism, whether that be youth leagues or pro teams," Moon said.
Moon says the catalyst is a proposed soccer complex near the I-35W/Basswood Boulevard interchange, which would include a soccer stadium to be used by a future minor league professional team. He says such a complex would allow Fort Worth to compete for soccer programming internationally.
