Prison Fellowship, the nation's largest Christian nonprofit serving prisoners, former prisoners, and their families, is conducting a free Angel Tree Sports Camp on Saturday, June 4 at The Star in Frisco.

The camp, at the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, will benefit more than 150 children of incarcerated men and women.

Prison Fellowship Angel Tree kids (between the ages of 7 and 14) will participate in a day-long sports camp featuring training at eight different football stations such as quarterbacks, linebackers, linemen, etc.

Former NFL and collegiate athletes will teach the free camp. And the featured speaker will be the Cowboys' special teams coordinator, John Fassel.

"We give them a day of hope and encouragement. We bring in some players and coaches that they watch on television and look up to, to just pour into their lives," said Karen Lopez, the National Director of Angel Tree Sports Camps for Prison Fellowship.

"We really try to reinforce in these children's minds and hearts that they have incredible value and worth, and that the decisions that they make can really change the course of their lives."

Each camper will also receive a free pair of Nike sneakers and a swag bag at the event.
