Dallas apartment complex standoff injures one, one in custody

A standoff at a Dallas apartment complex on Saturday morning has left one person injured and another in custody.

Police say they were called to a shooting call the 1400 Block of Conner Drive at approximately 1:16 a.m. according to NBCDFW.

Once on location, police discovered that one person had been injured. They were subsequently transported to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

An investigation was then opened at which point detectives learned that the suspected shooter involved was in another unit across the street, at which point the investigation was stopped.

This was followed by a standoff that lasted for several hours, with police saying they used loudspeakers to attempt to persuade the suspect to leave the apartment.

After eventually leaving the apartment, the suspect was taken into custody.
