It's what many parents have been waiting for - COVID-19 vaccines for kids five and younger, and those vaccines should be available on Tuesday in Dallas County.
The arrival of the vaccine for kids as young as six months old is something a lot of parents say they’re relieved to hear.
"This is like a long time coming. We've been waiting and waiting," one parent said.
The FDA says the Pfizer vaccine for young kids is a three part series and the Moderna vaccine is only two. Dallas County is getting shipments of both vaccines. 2,000 are arriving in Dallas County on Tuesday and Wednesday, more will be arriving in the coming weeks. They’ll be available at hospitals, pharmacies and clinics.
