A Dallas doctor is now facing five felony indictments for holding a family at gunpoint.
An arrest affidavit says on December 8th, Ivette Lozano was driving past her mother's rental property in the 5700 block of Live Oak when she saw a light on.
According to reports, she thought the people inside; a man, his grown daughter and three juvenile daughters, were squatters. So the affidavit says Lozano burst into the home with a loaded gun, ordering all on the floor, and eventually outside on the ground until police arrived.
The affidavit says Lozano was not aware that her mother had rented the apartment to the family and they had a written lease.
Lozano was arrested and has now been indicted on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and four counts of deadly conduct.
The Dallas County District Attorney's office says Lozano is the same doctor brought before the Texas Medical Board for prescribing hydroxychloroquine during the pandemic. That case resulted in a negotiated settlement.
