A popular Dallas hot dog joint will close its doors for good on July 4th.
After 25 years, Wild About Harry’s is closing. Owner Harry Coley opened his hot dog and frozen custard shop on Knox St. in Dallas in 1996. In 2018 the shop moved to what was supposed to be a temporary space on Travis St.
But now, that location will close at the end of this week. The business is looking for another location but with rents in the neighborhood increasing, it's unclear if the shop will be able to afford a new space.
Wild About Harry's has been a mainstay in the Dallas food scene since it opened. The restaurant posted on social media it is thankful for all the years of support.
Wild About Harry's will be open from 11 a.m. thru 10 p.m. until it closes for good on Sunday, July 4th.
