Dallas man sentenced in scheme to lure gay men in for beatings

A Dallas man is going to prison for luring gay men in for beatings.

Daniel Jenkins is the fourth and last of the conspirators to be sentenced. Jenkins admitted he was part of a scheme to attack gay men who were drawn in from Grindr, a social networking and dating app for gays.

The conspiracy included kidnapping, carjacking and hate crimes.

Nine victims were selected specifically because they were gay and Jenkins admitted that. He was sentenced to 23 years.

The other three suspects got sentences ranging from 11 to 22 years in jail.
