Dallas police are asking for the public's help in finding clues following the shooting death of a 3-year-old.

Police say a mother drove her 3-year-old son to Medical City in north Dallas with a gunshot wound to his head at just before 10 Monday morning. He died a short time later.

Police had been looking into the possibility that the shooting was linked to a road rage incident.

Now investigators say the mother and her son were at a donut shop on Walnut Street next to Dallas College Richland Campus at 9:38 that morning, around 20 minutes before the child was taken to the hospital.
