Dallas Police asking for assistance after 69-year-old man fatally shot in apartment

Dallas Police are asking for the public's assistance after a 69-year-old man was found fatally shot in his apartment on Wednesday evening.

According to police, they were called at approximately 10:03 p.m. to Hampton Terrace Apartments located at 5018 South Hampton Road after a potential shooting.

Upon arrival, L.T. Thornton, Jr. was found lying on the couch in his living room having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was subsequently pronounced dead on location by Dallas Fire-Rescue.

At this time, no motive or suspects have been named or placed in custody. This case remains under investigation.
