A Dallas police officer is one of the latest victims of COVID-19.

Sergeant Bronc McCoy died Monday from complications due to the virus.

McCoy's sister Malisa tells KRLD he loved his job and being a father to his two young children.

"He was an older father and probably spoiled his kids. But he was a great father. He loved them very much," she says. "Even if he was mad at you, he could always turn it around and make you laugh. He will be missed by many."

In a tweet, Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said McCoy "was an outstanding officer who dedicated his life serving others."
